Eighty years of welding, planking, and quiet pride.

Marquesa was founded in 1947 as a single yard on the Ligurian coast, building wooden sailboats for officers returning from the war. Three generations later, the wood is composite, the hulls are forty metres, and the floors of the workshop are still swept clean every Friday afternoon by the men who built them.

We build by appointment, not by catalogue. Every vessel begins with a single conversation — usually over an espresso in our atelier on Boulevard Albert 1er — and ends, eighteen to twenty-six months later, with a christening on the slipway in La Spezia.
