01 — Concept
Quiet listening.
We start with conversation, the site, and a sketchpad. No mood boards. No software.
Atelier Vora is a small architecture practice in Berlin. We design houses, workspaces, and retreats for people who would rather be remembered for how their rooms feel than how their façades look.
I. Selected work
A studio of seven people. We take on four commissions a year. Below: the three we most enjoyed seeing inhabited.
Single residence
A timber-frame house oriented around a single beech tree the clients refused to fell.
Workspace conversion
A 1930s tram depot turned into 14 lofts for makers — keeping every steel truss visible.
Vacation residence
Three lime-washed volumes stepped down a hillside, framing the lake on every level.
II. Approach
01 — Concept
We start with conversation, the site, and a sketchpad. No mood boards. No software.
02 — Design
We resolve plan, section, and material in physical drawings before any BIM tool sees them.
03 — Construction
A partner attends each weekly meeting. Sub-contractors are picked with us, not for us.
04 — Interior
Most of our clients keep their own taste in interiors. We document well so theirs can land calmly.
Reel
Filmed in October 2025, 60 seconds, ambient sound only.
IV. Visit
Tuesdays and Thursdays we hold open hours. Tell us what you're thinking about — we'll show you the work in progress on the table.
V. Contact
A plot, a building, a feeling. Whatever stage you're at, write us a few lines and we'll be in touch within two working days.
